Welcome to LAF!
The Louisville Atheists and Freethinkers is atheist community in Louisville, Ky! We get together regularly to discuss current issues affecting atheists and the nonreligious, sharpen our views and values, and sing the occasional karaoke. If you are in the Louisville area and looking for atheist community, or if you are just curious about secular living, you are always welcome to check out our meetings on Meetup.com and drop by for a visit.
Monthly All-Member Meetups
For our main monthly meeting, we usually invite a guest speaker to present to the group on a number of topics including Church/State separation, personal experiences leaving religion, ethics and morality, and critiques of specific religious beliefs. This is our largest regular meeting, with attendance number normally ranging from 30-50 and an audience of all ages and backgrounds.

Other group activities include:
- Reasonable Living: Our “secular sunday school” lead by a former minister. Reasonable Living is an intentional community where we come together to discuss humanist ethics and living well as secular people.
- Recovering from Religion Support Group: If you have recently left religion or are on your way out, and need help and support in ordering a new life beyond faith, this is the group for you.
- Science and Philosophy Book Club: In the Science and Philosophy Book Club, we meet once a month to discuss readings in current scientific and philosophical topics.
