Lee Remington Williams is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Bellarmine University. She has been a practicing attorney in the Commonwealth of Kentucky since 2003, through which she has had the opportunity to argue cases before the Kentucky Court of Appeals and Kentucky Supreme Court. She has advised and represented public schools regarding potential conflicts with the first amendment. She recently was a panel member at the IUS Constitution Day Colloquium on the First Amendment. She will discuss the importance of the First Amendment and some of the cases for which she has provided advice. We will also discuss many recent legal cases.
